Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all travel and transportation services provided by Binota Travels. This includes, but is not limited to, private taxi services, airport transfers, intercity transportation, sightseeing tours, and customized travel arrangements within Sri Lanka.

By making a booking, paying any amount, or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this policy.

1. Booking Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed only after the required payment has been successfully received and verified by Binota Travels. Any services requested prior to payment confirmation are provided at the customer’s own risk.

If payment is not received by the date advised at the time of booking, Binota Travels reserves the right to cancel the booking automatically without further notice and without liability for any loss incurred by the customer.

2. Advance Payments and Deposits

Depending on the type of service, customers may be required to pay a full amount or an advance deposit at the time of booking. The amount and payment deadline will be communicated during the booking process.

Advance payments and deposits are generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing by Binota Travels.

3. Pricing and Service Costs

Prices quoted by Binota Travels are based on information provided by the customer, including distance, duration, vehicle type, travel dates, and service requirements.

Prices may change if booking details are amended, or if unforeseen circumstances arise, including fuel price changes, toll charges, route deviations, or regulatory costs.

Refund eligibility depends on the timing of cancellation, the nature of the service, and any costs already incurred by Binota Travels or third-party service providers.

Certain services, including customized tours, special arrangements, or services already commenced, may be non-refundable.

6. Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved, it will be processed to the original payment method used by the customer. Refund processing times vary depending on banks, card issuers, and payment service providers.

Binota Travels does not guarantee specific refund timelines and is not responsible for delays caused by financial institutions or payment processors.

7. Fees and Deductions

Refunds may be subject to deductions for transaction fees, payment gateway charges, bank charges, currency conversion fees, and administrative costs.

Any non-recoverable costs already paid to third-party service providers may also be deducted from the refunded amount.

8. Amendments to Bookings

Requests to amend booking details, including pickup time, date, destination, or route, must be communicated in advance and are subject to availability.

Significant amendments may result in revised pricing or may be treated as a cancellation, depending on the extent of the change.

9. Cancellations or Changes by Binota Travels

Binota Travels reserves the right to cancel or modify services due to operational, safety, or unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to vehicle breakdowns, extreme weather, natural disasters, road closures, strikes, or government restrictions.

In such cases, customers may be offered a refund or an alternative service, at our discretion. Binota Travels shall not be liable for additional expenses incurred by the customer as a result of such cancellations.

10. Third-Party Service Providers

Some services may involve third-party providers such as drivers, hotels, or tour operators. Refunds for such services are subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant provider.

Binota Travels is not responsible for refunds that are delayed, reduced, or denied by third-party service providers.

11. Force Majeure

Binota Travels shall not be held liable for failure or delay in providing services due to events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, or other force majeure events.

12. No Cash Refunds

Refunds are generally processed electronically to the original payment method. Cash refunds are not provided unless expressly agreed in writing.

13. Governing Law

This Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka.
